Thumbs down Whistle coming out of my Exhaust

Hey guys,

The otehr day I put in my car 4 brand new Bosch 13111 sensors in my car since the ones I had were shot. Everything went on smoothly and I had no problems.

Now, I started the car up and drove the car around for a little bit and everything seem fine.

Now, today, I started the car up in the morning and within 5 seconds I heard like some kind of whistle noise coming out of my exhaust. I then got in the car and gave it a few revs and the noise went away but as soon as it started idling, it made it again. I then drove off since I was running late to work and it went away.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be ????

they do but if he thinks that it was the cause of changing the o2 sensors, he could have knocked something loose while down there that isnt even related to exhaust. Its a simple first check because it would only take a few minutes and if that isnt the problem, then its out of the question....DNA, what exhaust/headers do you have on the car or is it stock?

Thumbs down

I dont have any idea where ts coming from. My car is all stock right now with just a GMMG exhaust and its been like that for like 3 months and I never had that problem before. So besides just changing 02s, I didnt touched anything else....

What would be my second option ???

Its probably the Air pump. mine used to whistle once in a while and tracked it down by comanding the AIR pump off with HPT when it was whistling. since then I pulled all that stuff so no worries anymore.

Yeah remove the air pump and get the code tuned out if you dont like the ses light, thats probley what it is.
you could disconnect the wiring harness to the pump which is located on the drivers side right before the air damn, and up a little. and see if it still whistles

Plus, im in the process of selling my car, I just need to find a white Z06 first

Here's a question, I ripped my AIR & EGR out and I'm getting a pretty bad whistling sound now... Could it be that I need to tune out the codes so the diverter valve the AIR pump was going to doesn't open on the AIR side? It's capped off BTW...

I was having the same noise. Mine was caused when my stock cat collapsed. Changed the cat and it went away.
