What kind of "can" are you using for a catch can?

I just bought a Moroso overflow can (black plastic) for $29. It has a fitting already for the top, and I drilled a hole in the side for another fitting. Plugged the little breather hole on top, and it works just fine. Just make sure you use the lower hole as the "IN" and the upper hole as the "OUT".

Reckless,
Is this from your car?

If so it looks like this has the lines connected as backwards. I see you addressed this in an earlier post.

Re: What kind of
i dont know. id keep both in and out fittings on the top. if you plumb it like a sink trap the vacumn may have a hard time getting through the oil if it collects enough. ond ith enough vacumn is generated itll caus the oil to bubble and splatter and maybe resuspend again to dra itself in.
i dont think the water/oil seperators are a bad idea. but i agree the ons pictured are to small. they sell much bigger ones and that'll be the route ill most likely go.

I bought a 1 quart paint can from Home Depot for likr $1.50. Its about the size of a Jumbo can of Chef-Boyardee Ravioli. Its not mounted yet to the car, but should do the trick well.
