It's not that bad to install it yourself just have to buy a $5.00 bolt to install, and go the AutoZone and get the removal tool (free to rent it).

$350? Buy a pulley puller, only like $12 I think. Someone on here sells a really nice install tool too.

On a lift it takes about 5-10 Minutes, hardest part is putting the belt back on. Need the tool or big impact, new bolt, and shorter belt. Should not cost more than $50.00. Some friends have had it done for less than that.

werd to Redlinez ... its a very simple process except pulling the old one off kinda sucks but wouldn't take too long to do yourself if you have a floor jack and a couple jack stands

Just do it yourself. It's your DD but it's not like your trying to install a new cam over the weekend or anything. Installing a new pulley is simple.

If you do it yourself, I suggest you consider buying, making, renting, or borrowing a pulley install tool. Many people get away with using the old stock bolt or a longer one. Some are unlucky and do not get away with it.

Last time I took a main pulley off (totally different car, not an LSx), we couldn't get the bolt loosened, and couldn't fit an air wrench into there (and didn't want to take off the radiator to fit the wrench). My ingenious fix was I put a really long breaker bar on the socket and wedged the other end against a suspension arm and bumped the starter to break the bolt. I'm not liable if anyone kills themselves trying to repeat this feat, and I'd highly recommend disconnecting the spark juice somehow so the engine can't actually start itself up accidentally.
