Default Thunderbolt, converters good or garbage.

A friend of mine had a set of unused 3" high flow round brick style converters that are about 11" overall and about 4.5 of catalyst. They were given to me at a deal, 30.00. I was planning on using these on a ls6 cammed 5.3 in my s10. Are these worthwhile converters that I can get a long service life from or should I just go ahead and buy a set of the spun metallic magnaflows??

I've never heard of them before.. Maybe see if they have a website or something to find out more about them?

Good thing it was 30.00 worth of spare parts laying in the garage and not cash.

How bad could they be?

Check the trader ratings. If the product was pure crap, they should have horrible feedback. For $30, they're probably worth a shot. Sure, they probably won't last as long or flow as well as a Magnaflow bullet cat, but for $30...may as well try it.

Magnaflow bullet cats cost over $100 a piece. It's like $250 shipped for 2 cats. You paid $30, so what can you honestly expect?
