Open I-Pipe????
Hey guys just a quick question....I just sold my magnaflow to someone local here but my headers wont be in for another week....has anyone run with an open I-pipe, a.k.a no catback connected??? How bad would it be to just run like that for a week so i can sell this guy the magnaflow now? wouldn't it be just like running an open cutout in the I-pipe?? thanks

Honestly, I did this once... and It was weird. when I would go over 4000 rpms, the car would hiccup and act like it was going to shut off. and this was on the highway mostly when I was in 3rd, 4th gear. and I was like above 80mph.. It did it a few times on street in 2nd. and whether it was WOT or cruise didnt matter...
I have no idea why this was happening, but it was and It didnt do that anymore after I put the catback back on..
now I just run LTs and dumps right by the transmission tailshaft and ive never had issues.
so I dunno what that was all about, but thats my experience.
