Default LS1 MSD coils issue

I have had the MSD coils on my car for about two years know. Last year one went bad and I replaced it. This year I had three go bad! Has anyone else had problems with these coils?

On one of the bad ones, if you tap it with a hammer, it will fire....

Junk,junk,junk
Wasted money on these as well. Nothing works better than the stockers, and you don't hear of them ever going bad. Tell Scott I said so.

I ran the MSD coil packs for a year myself. After the 1st failed & replaced, then a 2nd went bad.

That was it, screw MSD. I yanked those out of there so fasr it wasnt even funny.

Back to stock, been running A+ ever since.

Did anyone notice that Katech went back to the stockers on their LS7 camaro? I'd love to hear their take on the coils but they probly wouldn't publicly dis MSD. Really this is a testimate to the excellence of the factory coils.

My MSD coils worked fine. It's just that $600 to turn you coils red is a discrace.

Ive had to replace two..in the same spot...#8.... problem was one grounded out internally and blew the fuse to the coil packs for the whole passenger side of the engine...i was runnin on four cylinders to get home when it happened and it ruined the motor mounts ahhh!!!...only reason I have them is because a friend traded me for my stockers so he could sell his car stock...only reason...would never have wasted the money on these..junk, junk, junk, agreed~~
