Default crush bends vs. mandrel bending

well i finally found a shop to run my true duals, but they dont do mandrel bending. i know mandrel bending is better, but if nobody local does it, is it worth it to go ahead and get it run with the crush bends? and this will be from the cats back, 3'' h pipe with flowmaster 1 chambers dumped at the axle. i'm holding off on the headers for a while until i can afford some better ones. and is it normal that most shops dont do mandrel bending? i thought it was more common

Sure, it's fine. Unless you're pushing serious power, I don't see crush bends hurting you much at all, ESPECIALLY with 3" true duals. 3" true duals can support obscene amounts of horsepower. Honestly, 2.5" is all you need, and even that can support way more than a y-pipe setup.

Crush bends aren't that bad. I have a crush bend on my y-pipe and it didn't compress the pipe much at all.

If you are that uneasy about the crush bends, you can always buy mandrel bends in various degrees (45*, 60*, 90*) and so forth from Stainless Works, Dr. Gas, Summit and other various retailers. Once the exhaust is all done from the exhaust shop, you can just cut out the crush bends down the road and add the mandrel bends.

Lol, nah no sound difference. Honestly it is not enough difference between the 2 for you to hear or feel faster in the mandrel bends.
