Default Y-pipe 4 Kook???

I have a set of 1(7/80 kooks for my 01 Hawk. Im getting ready to order the ypipe but I can bring my self to pay 289+shipping for a kooks one. Its there any other ypipe that is simalar or can work with small modificatiuons? I had one mad by a muffler shop and dont like the kinks in the piping. Any help? Thanks

The Kooks y-pipe is only $289 + shipping? It's stainless steel. That sounds like a hell of a deal! Last time I checked, it was ~$500 or something. My custom y-pipe cost ~$300 plus my cost for cats and it's only mild steel.

A muffler shop should be able to make one for under 100 bucks if you dont mind crushed bends but since you do I think your better off just buying it.

You might as well pay an extra $40 and get the QTP or go custom to get a good merge on the y pipe because most of the aftermarket ones like the pacesetter and kooks have a horrible merge and it kills the flow. If you dont care and just want stainless, you could always get the XS stainless y pipe because that would cheaper and it is very similar in design.

Exactly. My Kooks catted Y was in the region of $480 on a GP. But it's definitely top notch ****. I wanted all stainless so Kooks was the way to go. I don't want to say mixing and match headers and Y-pipes won't work, but I'd play it safe and just get the Kooks. I'm assuming for $289 it's an ORY anyways.

there are only a handful of shops that own mandrel benders, do you know how expensive those are??? most buy the mendrel bent piping or just crush bend it themselves.
