Default true duals

i was just wandering what everybody thought of 2.5 dynomax bullets with an x-pipe and the pipes out back of the car not dumped would that sound to terribly loud at cruise rpms around 1800 or 2000

Yup.......i Had 3in Ory And No Muffler A Couple Years Ago And Had To Put A Muffler To Daily Drive It......it's Just Too Raspy....although With True Duals There Is A Deeper Tone And You Might Not Have That Ear Piercing Raspiness Lol

Thats what I have except 3'' all the way out the back. Its fine for cruising, it loses the interior noise, and is still loud as hell at WOT.

I have that setup except with an H pipe instead of an X. Its not bad at all cruising. Then again I came from an ORY with a cutout that was open all the time, to 3" duals dumped, and now this. But still, this is the best sounding out of all of them. The duals dumped rattled the **** out of the interior. Now with the new setup over the axle, it sounds so much better and its not loud at all inside. There is a slight drone at ~2200, but its not really noticeable at all. Its nice and deep, but not really loud until WOT, then she screams

Over Axle duals should fit your lowered car just fine. You could always get a panhard relocation kit if needed, I don't have one. On mine, one of the pipes looked like it was hit by the axle slightly once, it was just a little paint mark from the axle on the pipe, no dents or anything. Im pretty sure that was from when I had a full load (2 wheels and tires, floor jack and tools) in the back and hit a huge bump in the interstate all with stock worn out springs. So you should be fine with newer stiffer springs.

i have basically the same setup you are going to do except mine go over the axle and then have turndowns at the rear..it is fairly quiet until you get on it, then it scares the crap out of people

i drove around with headers and cats thats it for almost a month the cats were dumped right under the cab wich made it obnoxiously loud and vibrated everything inside. it was also "world ending" loud at WOT. i now have 3" galvanised tubing with 3" dynomax bullets dumped under the axle in the back. with no X pipr or cats, still "world ending' loud . kind of raspy about 3000 rpms give or take , and it has a little chirp to it at idle, the chirp is cool tho.

don't u lose some power not having the exhaust meet at a X to equalize the pressure?

if you are your arent loosing enough to worry about it ,im thinking about adding a 2.5" connector to make the exhuast sound a tad bit deeper and cleaner,

Thats the way mine was when I first got it done, I had to take it back to have them put an H pipe in like I originally told them, but they didnt do. I couldn't stand that "chirp" or the rasp/rap it made.

When I went and picked it up, I started it up when it was outside, there were kids riding there bike by. I revved it up to about 5k to see what the new exhaust sounded like. They were lookin at me with eyes wide open "HOLY COW! That car is LOUD!!" hahah
