There isn't a bolt on the oil presure sender. It screws straight into the block and uses a sealing washer to prevent leaks.

The oil pressure sender is right behind the intake manifold.

The brake booster vaccum line runs behind it.

go to your local auto parts and buy the oil sender socket. it is specifically made for this unit and is an invaluable tool.

torque to 14-15 #'s.

The tool is a deep 27mm socket or a 1 1/16" deep socket will also work (need about 2.5" deep to clear). A Snap-on A120 should do it..

I just used a 12" crescent and it worked fine with the intake off.

I think mine is starting to act up, last night i noticed the gauge showing my pressure alittle below 80psi and i was cruising at maybe 2k rpms. Im definetly going to change it out though when i swap to an LS6.

good chance of it breakin anyway so that's a smart decision i had to drive 30 miles to find an oil sendin unit in stock and when i was there i bought an Sensor Socket . . . bought it at autozone and if i remember correctly it was called an 02 sensor socket not a oil sending unit socket.
