Talking Got my 2002 6 speed T/A today!!

OK first off! I cant leave anything alone. What racing ring and pinion (for street racing) would you go with? How much extra horses can I get with new heads and 1.6 ratio rockers (or even 1.7's)? Which brand makes the best heads? which brand rockers would you go with? After this do i get a new chip?--Thanks Alan

no such thing as a "chip". stock ratio is 1.7 . do bolt ons first like lid, catback or TDs, long tube headers,

Congrats on the purchase! I know you're excited and all, but you have about two days worth of stickies to read. Those will answer 95% of your questions. Good luck with the TA.

You're just going to have to simmer down and do a lot of reading on the site to learn what's what - just like we all did. You don't want to jump in and start doing all kinds of mods based on your experiences with other cars. Take your time and learn the LS1 first.

Ok. you got a good start by getting the 02'.. it has some LS6 parts, Like the intake and maybe the block.

As the others stated, try adding some of the normal bolt ones.. K&N Filter, A after market lid (air cleaner Top, This is to increase and better the air flow). A Cat back system and Headers and Off Road Y pipe. Ported Throttle Body and follow all of this with a good Dyno Tune.. and you should be good until you want to take the next step... Head and Cam.

good luck.. Suggest you search on each subject to research and learn, you will be up to speed soon.

Moron? ...you're the one that can't use the search or read the sticky threads, and you get a warning for insulting members. Nice start you have here on LS1TECH.com!
