FAST 92mm Intake?
I just recieved my FAST 90 intake and throttle body. When I opened the box I found that the manifold says 92mm on it. Have they always been that way? I guess I never paid attention.
I'm sure I'll get an extra 10-15 horsepower out of the extra 2mm

Yes, this is the new fast 92... there is a fast "Big Mouth" throttle body to match it. Check on byunspeed.com
They have them listed, but no price, last I checked.

so does the 90 version get cheaper? or are they ditching the 90 and only selling the 92? I cant imagine there is a big enough difference between them for them both to be marketable

Ive read the offical advertisement for the intake, there are more updates then just a 2mm bigger opening and based on their claim, that is the optimal size, not to persay, sell your ported 90mm fast to buy a ported 92mm Fast. I would feel as fine as if I had a 90mm as I would with a 92....

This 92mm thing has been bugging me, so I called FAST today and asked about it.
I asked the tech if their standard 90mm throttle body would fit the 92mm intake properly. He told me it would work fine, but they have a new matching 92mm TB coming out in a few weeks.
It seemed odd to me, that they would release the intake before the TB that matches it. When I asked about that I was told the 92mm intake would not be released until early in 2008. After I told him I already had the intake, he said I was mistaken it was a 90mm.
What the heck, I just agreed with him. Obviously those numbers on top of it are wrong and they didn't screw up and send me an intake that hasn't hit the market yet.
Looks like I'll have the first FAST 92 on the road

sounds to me that somebody knows you from where you ordered it from and gave you a deal or that you just got lucky and they sent you the wrong part either way that thing is awesome, ive also been looking at the professional products 96 mm combo but its aluminum and is a little haevier but just means more porting

Gotta love it when people will disagree with you when the truth is staring them in the face.
