Have you found anyone that has actually installed and used one that dont like it? My searches seem to indicate that most that have bothered to iron out the small issues(my cruise linkage didnt line up), have had good success. The posts seem to be clouded by the naysayers without any real experiance with it.

I just installed the TB myself. I have to modify the cruise control cam to fit, but not bad. It is a nice peice, but I cannot give you an honest horsepower advantage or disadvantage. Unlike others, my SOTP dyno was retired years ago for being inaccurate. Til I see it on a real dyno I wont comment on it.

Does anyone have a real dyno number? Both on the t/b and the intake?

nah i have found anyone with it on their car...but it does seem to have a lot of small issues that come with it...but for the price for a 85mm tb compared to other brands, it is drastically different...so the small issues kinda get thrown out the window...i would like to see some dyno numbers without the cam in tho

I use to have one on my old polished bbk 85mm intake set-up... Worked perfectly, fit & finish were top-notch, no problems at all.

I did the same thing. For the money I think the quality is very good. I have had no problems with mine.

The TB is just a mechanical device, so I would think just its size would help as long as you have supporting mods. The intake, I am not so sure. BUT as everyone keeps mentioning, for the price I am willing to work through some minor issues. We can spend $500 for an intake and throttle body and work through some minor issues or $1300 on a Fast setup and not. I for one dont dont have the extra money to spend, so teh less expensive option is better.

I would be interested in seeing this TB on the new Weiand intake manifold coming out. Combined total would be roughly $800 so you would save a few hundred over the FAST and I would think it would go well with a FTP 85mm lid and 85mm MAF. Any thoughts?

I allready have an LS6 intake. I am talking about the 85mm Pro Products TB and a Typhoon 85mm intake. Maybe a little over, but still close. I see that Weind is around $330 or so too. Might be an option. I allready have this throttle body.

it is a option, but if you are going for the look of the tb, might as well go for the look of the typhoon intake/fuel rails..match it up with painting your valve covers red....that would look nasty!

I am actaully thinking of painting the satin intake to match my car color. That is if it actually performs like they say, otherwise it will be back to the LS6 and saving for a FAST.

hmmm if that is the case i would just save for the fast and paint your current intake man....one of my friends just picked up a typhoon and he didn't get any increase in dyno numbers....if any it wasn't worth the cost for just the bling factor unless that is what you want

That might be, but the only actual dyno graph I have ever seen on this intake, with supporting mods, shows the 17.7rwhp over the LS6. I keep hearing people say they didnt get any gains, but nobody can show a graph before and after. The graph I saw was on a cam and heads car with full supporting mods and the Pro Products TB on both. So I intend to be a test mule too. If no gains then I will utilize the direct port nitrous provisions and just spray it. Or sell it. I dont know. I am optomistic and I can sell my LS6 intake and offset the price too.

I am finding that people that do not get any gains also do not have high flow heads, or headers or cam or in many cases have nothing else done to the car.
