Default A Few Catch Can Questions

Hey guys, I am thinking about getting a catch can for my 00 camaro. I was wondering if there is an advantage of getting the LS6 PCV conversion kit over just getting a catch can? Second of all I was wondering if you guys could post some pics of your setup. I wanna do something that will look very clean and also want to go with braided lines with -an fittings that will look nice. Any info or pics would be awesome! Thanks a lot!

I would just go with the LS6 PCV system.

The AMW catch can system si pricey but makes for a really clean, 30 minute install.

I have the LS6 PCV and the Thunder Racing catch can.

I had to cut the block to get the LS6 valley cover to fit. If I had it to do over I think I would have just gone with the can.

If you haven't seen this already there is a nice write up at ls1howto:

And SDPC has a good price on it:

On my 2001 ZO6, I was getting oil in the intake. I installed the Elite Engineering catch can, and get about 2 OZ of oil in the can between oil changes. So, on a LS1, I wouldn't change to the LS6 PCV system.

I have about $15 in this setup and it works just fine. Might not look quite as good, but for the price, I can live with it.
