For those of you that have Hooker LTs
I am thinking about getting some and selling my Macs. How is the power for these headers? and if your car is lowered do you ANY clearance issues with the collector or the y-pipe? I saw some today at MTI and I thought that the collector hung a little low. So I was thinking if clearance is an issue weld a skid plate on there. any thoughts?

Of all the long tubes I've installed, I liked the Hookers the best... I did the exact swap, MACs to Hookers... Not one doubt on whether I made the right choice Noticable jump in power as well.

Brain- for the install how hard? When I did the macs I only had to take off the coilpacks to make it easier and thats it. So do they slide up in there the same?

Install is easy,, I took off the stater, oil filter and oil diverter plate, and of course all the stuff on the top of the engine, coil packs old headers etc, The hooker slid right in though, On the passenger side I noticed I had to have it higher up off the groung than the drivers side, Oh yeah had to take off the steering knuckle as well.

i installed my hookers and that was real easy! only the y-pipe is low, but usually when you hit that, you hit your front black peice

My Hookers are fine, no clearance issues and I now have a Mufflex 3x3 to 4 and they make more power over my 2.5x2.5 to 3. Good decision.

Like everyone has said, easy install and fit is quite good. A couple folks have reported clearance issues here and there, but all the sets I've installed so far have fit. Had clearance issues with the Jet-Hot copies on a couple cars.. IMHO they install easier than MAC's
