Default GM LS6 intake on my LS1. What else is needed??

Did a search, but didn't find much. Want to replace my intake manifold with a GM LS6, but what else is needed? Want to go bigger than stock on the TB, but not sure what size. Looking for a new TB. The only thing that I have in that area now is an SLP lid. If anybody can provide a list of all needed parts for the LS6 intake manifold, that would be great . I just don't want to have to buy one part just to find out that I need another part and so on. Here's the LS6 intake that I'm looking at. It's from one of our sponsors http://www.ls1speed.com/cont.cfm?cid=C0000018 I'm looking at this intake because if it looks like it does in the picture, it'll pass the visual in Cali. If need to know, I may not go with a cam. I'm not building a race car here, just a faster street car. So if you can, please let me know all of what is needed. Oh, and just in case, I'm looking at adding a set of these to my car, too http://products.jbaheaders.com/cat4ward.asp I need to be as Cali legal as possible. Thanks.

I'm not sure that with your restrictions, a throttle body is the best mod (no bang for the buck on an otherwise unmodded car), and I don't believe you will see much from a larger TB on a stock manifold (I could be wrong here). The LS6 intake is a great start, and the headers are a good addition. For the price of the TB, I would ge for the TR CHEATR cam. Can't even tell it's there.

I saw a dyno that showed the ls6 added 17rwhp. Took my car from a 13.55 to a 12.75 with a distroyed clutch. Very easy to swap, make sure to check the tightening pattern, and get yourself some new gaskets (fel-pros about $35 from oreillys), as far as the coolant lines over the block, you are suppose to remove but i just clamped her down over them, chilton manuals help alot for new mechanics (usually less than $15, and have alot of useful info). Deff buy one used, alot cheaper and does the same thing. If your going to buy one new you should just save alittle more for the fast and you could go 90/90 to solve your t/b issues. Overall highly recomended upgrade

Basicly just go with bolt ons. Once you start into cams, stalls, and such is when your dd becomes a shop project
