Default Worried about floating a valve straight pipes no cats no muff

I actually did have dual side exit with resonators but it was to raspy so i took them off the other day and now I'm running straight pipes side exit. I'm worried that I'll mess up the valves cause it's to free flowing, I wanna do hooker mufflers side exit what do you guys think?

I don't really understand anything you said, but "floating" a valve has nothing to do with your exhaust system.....and even running open headers won't bother your valves.

Running open pipes will only make your car sound like crap and decrease low end power due to the lack of back pressure, you will not hurt the motor.

Also...You can only "float" a valve by over reving the motor or operating it at an PRM that the valve springs cannot properly close the valve due to excessive engine speed and the lifter litterally being launched off the tops of the cam lobes.

Maybe he means cold soaking a valve. Should be on Myth Busters. Some believe that an open header system will allow cold air to back into the exhaust and warp the valves , after shutdown, when they are hot? It will not be a problem with any type of exhaust extension...

I'm not sure who the dumbass was that planted that idea in your head, but they need to put a filter on that brain mouth thing. Seriously.

the only way your gonna float a valve is by to mucho rpm or crappy valve springs. Now if you were to run it with no headers you might burn a valve.
