Re'
i'm trying to do both. as it is now i have Pacesetter LTs/ORY and then a Hooker Aerochamber. it's loud, but at around 3K rpms it gets that straight-pipe, raspy sound. so the resonators would help with that as well.

I had a buddy who took his cat, gutted it and slammed a 3" piece of pipe through it. It's crazy how crisp it looks you would never know, but I don't know if your looking for something that loud...

I have Aerochambers on my vette w/ longtubes and an X pipe and I get that 3k rpm rasp as well. I was looking into short bullets, but if I could find a resonator that might work too. Something like the Dynatech Split-Flow 6'' Long x 5'' Diameter, 3.0'' Dia. Inlet/Outlet

Magnaflow / Carsound has them. They're real converter cases with perferated tubes and stainless packing.

yeah it's a hooker aerochamber. the 14" version or whatever it is. it's pretty damn loud with LTs and no cats.

thanks for the responses. the only hard part i'm running into is finding resonators short enough to fit into the y-pipe.

Why not go with a pair of Magnaflow/Carsound 59959 spun metallic cats? They shouldn't hurt power unless your making 600+ hp. They measure 8" long overall and 4" wide at the body. They are 3" inlet/outlet cats.

You would have to buy a larger cat, like a 3.25'' cat. You need a larger ID to clear the pipe your shoving through it. But a very good idea.
