I was out changing the oil on my car today..and when i took the bolt outta the oil pan. This was attached to it. The car ran find about a week ago when i started it after a heads/cam install. Oil pressure was fine. Idled fine. NO codes nothing. Fuel pressure was perfect. No ticks/sounds of any kind. What is this!!!

Here is a picture of it next to the oil pan bolt. its not a head bolt cuz its hollow. The ONLY thing i can think is part of the dipstick tupe? That goes into the oil pan itself?
The one side is rough, like it broke of from something.
