Default ? about fast toys 85mm lid

I had purchased the 85mm lid and received it today drilled the hole for the IAT senson installed no problem. now my 2 questions are
1. should i reattach the vacuum line like it was in my old lid or should i put a breather on it (and if so where)
2. while reattaching everythign the smooth belows tube come up short from the maf to the throttle body. Is this normal as its not as snug as you would like to see i actually slid it off the throttle body and MAF to make the reach. would you go to home depot and try and get a rubber plumming coupler and try that? or should i leave it be?

Attach a breather filter and then zip tie it it near the drivers side fender panel. That keeps thing tidier. I wouldn't suggest you drill it into the lid.

A lot of the smooth bellows are just too short and have no room for more movement. Either get a longer bellows or switch back the the factory accordian style bellows. Honestly, the gains from a smooth bellows are fractions of a HP if anything.

Sounds good on the breather any specific one fit best? And as for the bellows the car had it when I bought it no accordial one so I guess off to the depot are what I can find I'm sure others have done this before

The only breather we have ever found that was the exact right size for the hose is K&N part # 62-1030. They sell for 16.00 at most places. If you find a cheaper brand somewhere that fits, we'd love to hear about it!

Lots of people use the home depot hose because it is very inexpensive. Go for it if you don't have the factory piece anymore. The other option is order a silicone coupler online but it will usually be quite a bit more than the home depot version. Usually people have to heat up the home depot hose in some hot water to get it around the throttle body since it is not the exact size. It works fine though.

so as you can see still a little short but much better than before. everything is sealed well and is no way moving anywhere. as for clearance, i didnt run into any hood clearance problems. again love the piece. the breather well i just think it looks cool there, the fit is perfect into the hose and rite at the bracket spot with a ziptie and its perfect no way is it going anywhere (although i need a black ziptie) oh and by the way i paid 8 bucks for it at autozone its a spectre one but i had a bottle of K&N oil and it looks exactly the same for 1/2 the price i dont know how the K&N one fits but you cant get better than this one as far as fitment. just oil it up i dont trust the unoiled filter

Looks nice. I cant agree with you more on the fitment of this piece. Definetly fits better than the stock black wing. Which smooth bellow was on it. I have the slp bellow, and fittment is near perfect.

It was the slp smooth bellows but I Linda like the home depot coupler look better. There's a huge plumbing outfit near me I'm garden city I think I'm going to take a ride over there and see if they have something a little longer maybe the different companies have different lenghts. As for the fitment with my blackwing the tabs would rarely go in or stay in for that matter. The ftp you can say locks in before you even clip it down and you can't move it for anything that's what I love the blackwing you could nsavically wiggle it off with the clips on.

You can also remove the AIR and get block off plates for the headers.
This will remove 7 pounds and clean the engine bay up some.
