Default Victor JR 90mm Vs. LS6 intake w/P&P TB?

Anyone have any numbers to compare or facts that state the Victor Jr. turns out better power and better ETs?

I'm thinking of getting a Vic.Jr intake, elbow and 90mm TB and port matching the intake to my heads to let the motor breathe more but i can't find any information on the victor Jr. setup.

What type of setup are you thinking of using the Jr Vic with? I wouldn't do it unless its a big cube setup, or F/I.

This has been disussed many many times. People have shared track times before and after too. Search and find. Basically, the Vic Jr is a benefit if it is match ported to the heads, as it is intended to be.

single plane intake work best when the motor is spun to very high rpms. so if you dont have a built bottom end with a high reving cam its not worth doing. plus the short runner length isnt exactly good for building torque...make sure you do some research before commiting to something that might actually hurt the performance of a street driven car.

Well, I can tell you personal experience with my stroked LS1, when I went from a ported FAST to a ported Victor Jr, by car definitely revved easier into the high 6000 and low 7000 rpm range. My car now breaks the tires loose easily in 3rd at around 6000rpm. Didn't do that as easily before with the old setup. I have not dyno'ed the car yet however to I cannot speak to any measurable changes in whp. FYI: I spent 6 hours porting my Vic jr to my intake ports. There are a few people on here that have tried the Vic and noticed a drop in performance, however they just bolted it on.. no porting. Even Edelbrock says in the literature that one of the features of the manifold is that it has extra thick material in the runners to allow for safe porting.
