Changing up my exhaust
Alright, I'm running Pacesetter LT's, true dual X, Spintech Prostreets with 3" under axle tails. The sound is down right mean and loud as hell. BUT I drive this every day. We also drive this thing anytime we go on a trip back home or anywhere else for that matter. Its pretty much useless to try and have a conversation while running down the interstate.
So heres what I'm thinking and was wanting some input.
3" Y pipe w/ a nice merge (Flowmaster maybe, not sure) Electric cut-out, use one of my Spintechs and run a single tailpipe over the axle, then another Y for the tail pipes. Should still have a good growl, but be MUCH more liveable.
My question is, should I just use one cut out after the Y, or use one at each header?
I know I'm gonna lose some power by ditching the X pipe, but dang I need it to be a lil more quiet.
So heres what I'm thinking and was wanting some input.

Why not just put a 'REAL' muffler on the duals? Like an XR-1 or a Magnaflow 4x9? Why go through all of that hassle?

I would add another set of mufflers on it. Either fit 2 more spin techs or add a couple Spiral flows for an easier fit. They should tame it down a bit. I would not sacrafice the performance of changing it to a Y pipe again.

I've got a true dual x set up as well but with the dual Magnaflow bullets. It still sets off car alarms and growls at the tap of the gas, but definitely liveable. I recommend getting dual Magnaflows if you still want good sound but not a constant overbearing sound.
