Default LS1 intake to Ported FAST 92/90 TB

What would be the ballpark gains from swithching a LS1 to the FAST. I have TSP 2.5 5.3 heads and Torquer 2 cam. LT ORY and Hooker catback. I have a LS6 intake waiting to be put on. What would the best chioce put on LS6 or order a FAST 92/90 TB.

Well the FAST 90 when ported properly has been shown to make more power then the ls6. Even when its not ported, straight out the box the FAST 90 out does the ls6. I am very happy with my FAST 90 (ported). Makes more power everywhere.

Do you think I will see a 30hp gain with the intake and Underdrive pulley.

~15 is more realistic.

Even when going from a LS1 intake. I have seen some that have gotten 25hp more over LS6 and I got a LS1.

This is what my How to Build High-Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8's (2004) says verbatim,

"The latest high-tech component to come out of the aftermarket for the Gen III V-8 is the F.A.S.T. replacement intake manifold. This three-piece design has shown the promise of releasing up to 15 hp on an LS6, and 7-10 on an early LS1 engine with no other changes. The intake has nitrous nozzle bosses built in, should you decide to add nitrous in the future."

Even with a larger TB, I still think 30 hp is too optimistic.

I am kinda in the same spot you are I have an ls1 intake other mods in sig and from what I've seen the fast 92/92 is the way to go. I may go with the vengince ported 92.

I went with the FAST 92/92 and I love it. I also went with a 12 bolt shortly before the FAST and my dyno went up by about 10hp.

An underdrive pulley is worth 7rwhp so I would guess with a ported fast 92 setup from an LS1 intake you will make 30rwhp. I bet you make 25+ even unported. Check out Chris @ CCperformance parts (99blancoSS) for a great price.
