New Exhaust System
Well after finally deciding to ditch my true dual set up figuring out which set I wanted to run, its all done. I couldn't be happier with how it sounds and I can def. tell a seat of the pants improvement power wise which was a welcome bonus. I got rid of the true dual mainly because of noise reasons, since my wife and I take this car anytime we take a trip that doesn't involve towing the boat and honestly, I had grown a lil tired of the noise levels since its my d.d. The old system was a true dual x, Spintech prostreets and 3" under axle tails. Most bad *** sounding true dual set up I've heard on a F-body, but damn it was loud.
First off, I have to give John at Dyno and Performance a huge thanks for getting me in on a Sat to get this done.
Here's the new set up: 2.5" extensions off each collector, going into a 3" merge. 3" I-pipe with a QTP electric cut out, back to a Spintech Prostreet, 3" over the axle which turns into dual 2.5" tailpipes.
This set up is awesome. No rasp, no drone. Has a kick *** sound at WOT, nice rumble at idle and cruising. BUT no drone, rattling, noises in the car. You def. hear it, but its no where near annoying. But as you can imagine, the fun starts when you open the cut out
Here's some pics. Just getting started:
You'll notice here, the muffler is no lower than the torque arm.

John and Sam did a kick *** job. Looks even better in person.
At first I was kinda worried about just using 2.5" off the headers, but there doesn't seem to be any negative effects. The mid range pulls sooooo much harder than before.
