Default Any reason to upgrade from 1 3/4 to 1 7/8?

Currently have 1 3/4 QTP headers. I'm doing an engine rebuild and will be maxing out my D1SC so I should be pushing 650+ rwhp. How much a difference do you think the 1 7/8's will have over the 1 3/4?

I have heard if you are pushing over 500hp it is def worth getting the 1-7/8 headers. TSP makes them now as well

Yeah I saw the thread about their headers. Definitly a great deal. Only thing is that right now I still have AIR on the car.. and couldn't run it with their headers. It's probably about time I ditched that nonsense anyway.

We don't where I live as well, but there's a possibility of me moving to a location that does.

With the kind of power you're pushing out you could see some good benefits from going to the 1-7/8.

Understandable. I want to get it registered at my parents place if they'll let me. Considering I'm planning to run true duals I'm pretty much shot on passing the visual anyway.

That's what I'm thinking too. Thanks for the reply.

Yup. I'm planning to run over the axle and have magnaflow cats and mufflers. Hopefully it'll keep it somewhat quieter than having it dumped in front of the axle.
