Have you tried heating it up with the hair dryer??? I know you gotta use it to get the MAF into the lid, im sure it would work the other way around too.

do you mean the IAT sensor? because if so I used a flat head screw driver and patience. It wont come out easy just work with it...take a break...work some more...if you are indeed talking about the maf loosen the hose clamps and wiggle lol.

Yea, you can also try some lubricant to help pull it off.

I wouldn't recommend using lubricant to get out the MAF. You don't want to get an oily lubricant all over electronic parts. That's a no-no, and that's why you have to buy a special cleaner to clean your MAF.

If the hairdryer doesn't work, what a lot of people do is put their lid in the oven at ~150 degrees or so for a couple minutes to heat it up. If that doesn't help, slowly increase the temperature - and I mean SLOWLY, like 10 degrees at a time - until it gets loose enough to get it out. You may need an extra set of hands. Don't turn the temperature up too high. You may damage the lid and/or MAF. Use some common sense here i.e. don't throw your lid into a 400 degree oven

A hammer worked fine on mine.

But really...don't port the MAF...it flows plenty of air and you are not making near enough power to need it bigger.

I always have to take a wide blade screw driver and gently pry it between one of the hex screws and the lid itself and slide it off.

Hair dryer is the best bet and isnt as messy. I wouldn't want to get anything on the maf.
