Whats the best sounding stra8 through muffler
I have a TT 01 ws6 and it has straight pipes, im looking to put a straight through muffler on it. What sounds the best and where can I get it.

IM looking for good sound. The turbos will do the talking. Right now straight pipes sound like ****. IM use to the good sounding mustang cobra. I belive the exhaust is 3 inch back. What about magnaflow?

if youw ant a deep tone, with no rasp and 100 straight trough design while still ofering noise reduction, get the magnaflows (any of them) or the XR1.
If you just want it loud as **** get bullets or whatnot.
Sounds like you want the magnaflows though

IMO, chambered mufflers sound the best. I like my Sweet Thunders. Quiet and deep at idle, but loud as **** at WOT. I think it has to do with how fast the exhaust gases are moving. The slower they move, the more that're being absorbed into the chambers? I've never researched it, but that's what I think.. lol
You can kind of see how it looks inside in this pic. If you hold it up, you can see straight through, with about 1.5" (on my 3" mufflers) of no obstructions.

But I'm not sure how the flow numbers compare with a chambered vs. a resonator.. But it seems like you're looking more for tone and not so much flow numbers, so I'm not sure how much they would affect your decision.
Good luck though, I bet anything'll sound bad *** paired with a wastegate and a bov... lol

Borla XR-1 #40085 is by far the best. I have had the loudmouth resonator, Dynomax bullet and the XR-1. The XR-1 sounds incredible. Loud but refined almost like an SVT Cobra to be exact. When I get my Incon kit on I am goint back to the LM with the 40085 XR-1 muffler welded in. I might give the LM2 a try first.
