Default SLP LT Owners Come Inside!

Have any of you tried...or even thought about trying to lower your car?

I just got mine installed on the weekend, and it looks as though I have 2 inches of clearance. Will I just have to put up with the 4x4 look if I'm running SLP's?

I think it would be a costly decision to lower it man, I had stock manifolds and cats with the loudmouth and the resonator hung about 2 1/2-3" off the ground and I hit that damn thing on railroad tracks, speed bumps, ruts in the road, it made driving the car hell. I once bought the SLPs but they were way too low and I returned them. I now have ARHs and the clearence is awesome!

I agree with the 4x4 look...one of my first mods were my springs.

i like the "lowered" look, but its just not worth the $ for an inch for so...stock 4x4 (lol) height is fine for me, which is really why i had noooo issues with SLP headers,,,that and i got a really sweet deal on em. 600 for brand new lookin headers, cats and y pipe,,,shipped.

Im not sure why u didnt make this thread BEFORE installing the SLP LT's. Even with a simple search you would have found that its one of lowest hanging headers and no good if you wanna lower.
My buddy has SLP LT's... he already bottoms out his headers and hes on stock height. I would not lower if I was u, or if you do id change them headers out.

I thought SLP redesigned them not too long ago? You could go with Strano springs as he says the drop about 1". I believe Hotchkis/BMR say the same.

My camaro has a stock ride height. With my SLP LT's I have approximately 4" of ground clearance. I've never scrapped my headers, but I wouldn't lower it either.

If I wanted to lower my car, the first step would be to change the headers to a Kooks or QTP.

BTW...I still like my SLP headers, they make good power and sound good.

Strano springs will drop you 1.25". I have ARH and the only time I scrape them is when I forget to slow down for a speed bump The Stranos look and perform awewsome
