best street legal headers/ypipe combo?
Hey guys, I'm just curious what your opinions on the best street legal headers/y pipe combo are..
I'm looking at this right now,
http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...id=181&catid=8
but I am curious if there is a better combo and/or a better deal that can be found.
Thanks

Well considering he's looking at Pacesetters and for "the best deal" I doubt he wants to shell out the coin for Kooks/ARH. If he does, then he should go with them, as those two companies make the best headers for our cars.
What's your reasoning for going with the catted Y? Inspection or just to refine the sound? Nothing wrong with running cats, but I wouldn't expect that Y to give you reasonable ground clearance. I originally went with the Pacesetter/TSP off road Y from TSP and it served me well for the price I paid.

ARH x3, cuz I have them, plus they went in like butter and ground clearance with them and their ORY is simply awesome. I hear Kooks are sweet too.
But, if cost is a factor, all the cars with pacesetters that I know of personally here in TX hold up really well and I think are definitely worth the cash.

Stainless would be best I guess, seeing as the car might see a little winter. I'll just have to put some more money aside

Yeah cost is a pretty big factor, though I would love to buy that ARH setup.. My reason for going with the catted y? Inspection. I highly doubt I would be able to pass in Massachusetts because everybody is **** about it around here.

^ that's a fact, lol.
Not enough people in MA drive muscle cars. Seeing one over here in western mass is a rarity, too many old guys are keeping their toys garaged, heh. There's no speed shops around anymore! The people that drive 4th gen f-bodies don't take very good care of them from what I've seen, although I am an exception!
The big scene is all imports now and it makes me cry a little bit.
