Red face JUST BOUGHT A 98 Z28, WHAT TO BUY AND Q's.

I just got a 1998 Z28, it came with a K&N FIPK, Pacestter haeders, and ORY through a hooker catback system. It is a 6 speed. What I'm wanting to know is what throttle body is good for a bolt on only car for a decent price, what size and what brand. Same thing for Rockers what brand that is 1.8 ratio for decent price. Keep in mind that I'm wanting to get an aftermarket intake manifold I just don't know which size and brand. I'm new to the LS1 family so I don't know much. Also should I get a different MAF or just keep the stock MAF. Do they make any difference MAF wise?

port the stock throttle body, you dont need new rockers, get an ls6 intake or a fast 90 if you can afford it, you dont need a different maf the stock one is good for up to 500 hp.

as far as maf(aftermarket), ive heard its all hype and not worth the price and same thing with an aftermarket throttle body unless u are making over like 400 or more at the wheels, the better route is to port your stock tb. you are off to a good start in my opinion. roller rockers are even thought of less than buying a aftermarket maf or throttle body. most people these 3 bolt ons are not worth the money unless u are doing it for appearance. i would just do a tune up- plugs, wires, fuel filter, seafoam and top it off with 373 or 410 gears and sum drag radials. what price did u pay for the car and mileage? hope it helps

Check out Josh @ Spartan Performance for a stock ported throttle body. He is the cheapest in the business and does great work. He's got more satisfied people than any other TB porter on the site.

Do not waste your money on rockers or another MAF on a stock engine.
