Default What cam are you running with your milled 5.3L heads?

Hey just wanted to see what guys with the PRC stg 2.5 5.3L heads milled .030 are running as far as cams go. Im looking to possibly throw a bigger cam in my car.
Also please mention if you had to flycut your pistons.
Anyway thanks!

I'm running the set-up in my sig with stock cast 5.3 heads milled .018" & worked over by Bo White. The heads also have the stock size 5.7L head valves in them. I haven't had a single issue & drive my car daily

If you cut the pistons you can go up a lot in camshaft & pickup a good bit of power. I'd expect 25hp gains going from the 224/228 camshaft to something like the New Texas Tsunami or maybe a MS4 camshaft. While your cutting the pistons you can install thinner gaskets & you should be able to make something near 550flywheel horsepower with either of those camshafts & milled PRC heads. We've seen 553flywheel horsepower with the Texas Tsunami camshaft, stock gaskets, unmilled PRC 5.3l heads & a Fast 92 intake!!

Ya but the FAST, as good as it is, makes me a little green behind the gills when I look at the price.
Thats why Im going to save my money, and get the Vic jr, with the elbow and 90mmTB, SD tune and the cam predator-z spec'd me (236/240 110+2). Should be a kick *** combo, and it will look awesome, kind of a justification for my 4 inch cowl hood.

I also replied to your PM, but no problems except minor bucking below 2000RPM. Stock LS6 intake.
