is there a cam out there i can use without a stall??
like the title says, i want a mild cam for my car without getting a stall. i know the stall gets awesome ETs and everything but this is a DD and i don't like the way the stall keeps the rpms up all the time, seems like it would kill the driveability of the car. and yes i plan on getting headers with an ory also. but what i want ot know is can i put a cam on without getting a stall, and which cam would i want to get for decent gains with good driveability?

[Quote=JonJanz@Texas-Speed] Yes you can very easily get away with a cam like a 224R on a 114 LSA. Typically the smaller cams in the low 220's duration can be run without a stall as long as you get a good tune on the car.
and also how much power gains will i see with a cam like the 224R with 114LSA at around 3000 rpms. the peak don't really matter to me all that much because i don't roll around turning 6K in my car all the time.
ha i havent really looked at cams until recently, and have seen some steep $$ ones.
