Default Street Warrior intake is in new Summit Catalog

right up front on page 8.

Formula 1 inspired LS performance! The moment you hit the throttle , you'll know the Weiland Street Warrior LS series intake manifold is something special! It's designed using the latest computer-aided airflow technology to deliver brutal low-end torque combined with amaxing top-end horsepower-at a price that'll put a smile on your face. the 1-piece, satin-finish Nylon 6 composit intake builds power from 2,000-6200 rpm, and features Formula 1 inspired bellmouth trumpets, an open plenum chamber, and optomized runner design. It all adds up to performance gains you can feel on the street and use at the track-over 32 hp and 31 ft-lbs. of torque more than a factory ls6 style intake. Plus, the Street Warrior LS accepts all factory sensors, fuel lines, and LS2 90mm throttlebodies (like holly HLY-112-576) for easy bolt-on installation. for GM LS1/LS2/LS6/LSX engines. 649.99 each

thats what they say about the truck intake and i pulled mine to 6900...switched from the truck intake to the LS6 intake and pulled to 6900 and gained absolutely nothing. ls6 intake was a waste of time for me.

Summit has nothing to do with the delivery date. Check back in a few weeks, and it'll probably be 11/30/08 or 12/15/08. They are simply putting in a date six weeks out which is simply an estimate from their supplier.

i dont care for dynos. all i have are time slips of before and after within one week of each other in comparable weather which is more evidence than a dyno to me.

what really sucks....it that its only about $100-200 cheaper than you can get the FAST intake for.

granted you can use your stock TB on it, but still.

i think i'll still pony up for the FAST eventually. unless dyno/track times really impress me with the SW.

on the other hand...i think the SW looks sexier

holley/weiand had a stand at the LSX shootout in memphis. they had the intake there at the vendor stands. i asked them when/if the warrior was ever coming out and they said "it will be ready to go by november 12th" hope it's worth the wait

I wasn't that impressed the ones Ive seen. The made the runner inlets all nice looking, but the layout comprmized the runners to neck way down. To what looks like a -.900 width across the intale bolt pattern plane. And there long as **** too, I guess if you have stock cam car and you shift at 6K, with 3:23 gears and a that style setup youd see a gain.

I"m still keeping an eye out on this one. I need to see some track times between an LS6 and the SW. I don't go over 6500 on the spray anyway so I want to see the gains.

Keep in mind that without being ported a FAST does not make a big HP (7-12)gain...so add the cost of porting to the price of a FAST ($300-$500) and it is a significant price difference...it remains to be seen what the SW will do out of the box ... when some finally get into consumers hands and some data gets compiled we will know how the two intakes compare...the FAST might be the best in the long run because it can be opened up and ported...time will tell on which is the best of the two..

PS As to the cosmetics ... You can make either one look how you want with some sanding and your choice of paint.
