What should I do for my H/C swap POLL
Ok help me out here car is in the garage for the winter. I'm putting 243 heads on possibly not ported. I'm thinking 7.4 pushrods, LS6 oil pump, LS2 chain & dual valve springs. Which cam would you guys go with? It is a M6 w/4.10 gears longtubes and full bolt ons. It is not a daily driver it will go to the track a little bit but mostly on sunday drives and get run a little hard on the street as well with my buddies. I'm thinking MS3 might be to much but not sure. I'm leaning towards 228R or Torquer.
Also at 60,000 miles on my car should I change the lifters or lifter trays?
How much of a difference would a set of roller rockers make?

Now I checked it out and the Torquer V2 makes more power then the 228R So I was thinking of going between those 2 but the Torquer should be the way to go then not?

i would leave the rockers alone. Go with a custom grind cam that makes nice power with aggressive lobes. Build something nasty since its not a DD and doesnt have to be super streetable. Not too big like MS4 or TREX but little smaller that makes power in the mid to upper RPM. Your 4.10 gears will allow you to go with a bigger cam as well

Replace lifters and trays for sure (they're cheap, its cheap insurance) and I say go with the torquer or a custom grind, PM predator Z he has some killer custom grind numbers you can get from comp cams super easily.

I 100,000% agree. If its not a DD why go with a small cam... your also forgetting my tsp 233/239 in the mix of things... its 1 step lower than an ms3 and 1 step higher than the v.3 on the scale of tsp's cams
