Default stock bottom end 460rw 150 shot

will a stock bottom end 2002 ls1 handle 460rw N/A with a 150 shot on top spinning to 6800 rpm. I know there is a lot of variables but just a basic opinion. I have all new lifters, trays, springs, rockers, seals, and heads. Its a MS4 with the TFS 215's. im getting tuned this weekend and just want to know if i should spray the nitrous on the dyno.

why not try a 100 shot and see how it handles it?

I would go for it. Then again though, if it went, I'd use it as an excuse to go bigger.

From what i have experienced , The ring landing on the stock pistons are your weak point.

I would assume it could handle a 100 shot. But a 150 shot would already be pushing it much.

assuming everything is right and no mis-shifts, the motor will be fine. the ring lands will be fine, he is only shooting 150 (assuming proper fuel), the rods/rod bolts will be fine as he is only going to 6,800 rpm. a friend of mine sprayed a 150 shot on a cam only 99 shortblock with ~110,000 miles on it for like 2 years shifting that high, it was and still is fine...even after a few n2o backfires, hiccups, and a BUNCH of rev limiter.

making sure everything is right is the key. as long as you have enough fuel and the timing is within reason, you shouldn't have a problem. i'd do it.
