Patriot Stage 2 LS6/LQ9 Heads Now Available!!!
We are proud to introduce Patriot Performance's new LS6-style stage II cylinder heads! Like all of Patriot's LS1 cylinder heads, they will be offered OUTRIGHT. There will NOT be a core charge! For $1795, you will get 2.02"/1.57" stainless valves, Crane stock-diameter dual valve springs with NO ROCKER ARM CLEARANCE ISSUES, titanium retainers, teflon valve stem seals, and a choice of combustion chamber size. The chamber sizes will vary from 59cc to 72cc, and the heads will not be decked at all! That will allow you to run 11:1 compression ratio and our 231/237 camshaft with no piston-to-valve clearance issues. Patriot is also excellent about getting cylinder heads out the door. They will normally ship 1-3 days after the order is placed, so there's no need to wait 4-6 weeks to receive your cylinder heads!

Installing mine today!! Can't wait to dyno with them and the TSP 231/237 on Oct 4! I went with the 59cc chamber and comp 918 springs on mine. I rode around with them in my car all day yesterday just letting people look at them and touch them.. LOL!
Btw.. I want to thank Jason at TSP and Terry at Patriot for going the "extra mile" in shipping my computer, cam, and bolts/gaskets via next day air, and putting up with me calling every two hours. You guys are great!

How do you guys make a non-decked 59cc chamber? I take it material is added into the combustion chamber?
Sounds nice.... and a very good deal if the porting is well done.
I tihnk I paid most of that $ amount for my blank LS6 cores back in the day :/

"LS6-style"...does that mean that they're not LS6 heads...just LQ9 heads with altered combustion chamber sizes?

The chambers are welded up and then CNC'd out. These are actually better than real LS6 castings in my opinion.. cheaper, but they have the same intake/exhaust ports as a true LS6 casting.. then add in the custom combustion chamber! A 59cc chamber with stock deck height is awsome, that was one of the main reasons I upgraded to these... big cams, small combustion chambers and NO FLYCUTTING, that makes me feel better about my intended nitrous usage.

The raw castings that Patriot bought are LQ9 (6.0L) heads. The LQ9 and LS6 heads flow equally well. They have the same D-shaped exhaust port like the LS6 head. The biggest drawback in going with the LQ9 head on a stock-cid engine is the large combustion chamber. It's great for anyone trying to run forced induction, but it doesn't work well for those wanting a nice N/A setup. Patriot is making the combustion chamber of the heads smaller to give you the added compression without sacrificing piston-to-valve clearance. So, you'll no longer have to mill the heads for added compression. Just specify which chamber you want when you order.
