Default saw some cool small bore heads at PRI

http://www.mastmotorsports.com/black...20Heads&id=102

Mast Motorsports had on display a prototype set of their new small bore 12 degree heads with LS3 style ports and rocker geometry. The quality looked great and the flow numbers were very impressive

They sound pretty cool, are they a real product yet or are they vaporware?

no more specs yet. Yes they exist, held one in my hands. they are doing an initial run of 100 heads that should be done mid january for dyno testing. If all goes well they plan on shipping in early january. at least thats what I was told at PRI

I'm sure the intake runners are going to be a little on the BIG side imo, for a 346 motor. But looks to be a awesome piece though.

But if they are designed for a stock bore, wouldn't it make sense to cater to the 346 crowd?

The numbers look good, but the details are vague at this point.

i think they would be great for a small cubes, high RPM carb'd LS motor

It's got a discharge coefficient of 107cfm/sq. in....

To put that into perspective, ET's 255cc C5R heads have 104cfm/sq. in.

Seems odd.
