Arrow patriot LQ9 Stage III with Predator-X cam

Guys, I need your advice regarding patriot LQ9 stage 3 heads https://www.patriot-performance.com/...&cat=35&page=1 same in the link but with 66cc to be installed in cam only 346ci stock engine, cam # "231/240 .643/.608 112+4" predator-z speced

Can I use those heads with no problem with PTV clearance with my cam

They are used but in a good condition and a pretty good deal as well.

Thanks in advance.

I would think 2.08 valves would cause a shrouding issue, if they even fit the stock bore. Im not sure, though.

I believe you need at least a 4.00" bore to fit those 2.08 valves. I think a 2.05 is the biggest that will fit a stock ls1 bore, but I have never tried so I am not certain.

Those heads will not fit that cam on 346 with no flycuts. And yes the 2.08 are too big for these bores but the issue here is serious PTVC.

Actualy to make your search easier; the heads that will fit are either LS1 ported but with stock valves (stage 1) or 243s (stock valves) or TSP MS3 5.3L (recessed valves). That is to give enough PTV

Thanks Mark, really appreciate your help

Now I will search for some 243s, but I need to know what is the highest limit that I can get without PTV issues?

That cam has about .07x in intake PTVC (depending on actual grind) with stock valved heads.
243s would be my choice. and change lifters while you are at it with new lifter hoding cups. That way you'll be all fresh.

Question 241 "CNCd" VS. 243 "STOCK"

I got two more options and I need you opinions guys, The first one is a used LPE CNC 241 " I think but not sure same in the link http://www.lingenfelter.com/store/ls1cnc-c.html " because there is no part# on them, just (CNC 2562) and they got the GM stock 2.00" intake 1.56" exhaust valves.
The other choice is a brand-new 243s, still in the box, if i ecided to take the 243 im just gonna polish them. I'm really confused which set sould I get.

Both sets are for my friend and I'll pay the same price for anyone I chose.

Which set will provide me the best power with my cam?!

Thanks in advance.

So what do you think guys, CNC 241s or STOCK 243s if they were with the same price?

OK, if you are on a budget try the stage 1 LS6 heads from TSP they are $1,025. here is a link :

http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...d=649&catid=20

some poeple made great power with these heads on a 346 LS1 engine, as i can remember around 470-480rwhp with a cam, headers, Fast intake,exhaust...etc.
