Default Head and cam for Zo6 2001

Hello Guys

I have zo6 2001 got it 2 week Ago , but i got it with few mods Patriot heads 59 Gx5 cam Fast 90 Intake and i had to replace the cam cause it was scratch so i'm thinking to instal LS6 cam on it i so i just wonder how it goes

Patriot heads 59 cc , LS6 cam and Fast Intake 90 ???? i will be more than happey if this collection give me 400+

You will lose a bit with that cam....probably better choices out there that will still give good driveability.

thx man cause though i will lose alot with the LS6 cam and would be nice to have good Drivebility

Your head chamber size is very small - setup to give more static compression for a bigger cam. With a 'small' cam you may have trouble with detonation on pump gas.

I have a buddy at 410rwhp corrected in a bolt on 03' z06 on a dynojet and my brother in his 02' z06 at 394 with stock intake and bolt ons.. you should be 425~ range with ls6.

dont get an LS6 cam, total mismatch with the current setup. You are putting in alot of air but the cam can only lift the valves at a bare minimum and the duration of those lifts are so tiny!

Get 224/228 .581 .588@114 ...zero loss in driveability and excellent power (provided you get a tune from a reputable tuner)! Also, if the previous cam was scratched there was a problem with powertrain geometry like incorrect push rod size

yea i'm rebulid the engin atm and changed alot of things and found out that old cam Scratchs and change Pistons Push camshifts and friend had this 02 ls6 cam he give it to me for free that why i'm asking if i will lose alot of power while use it on my setup

Or a Patriot's 225/229 cam.

Do not use the LS6 cam in any event. That would be crazy if you're rebuilding the motor.

yes you will lose power compared to the old cam you had in there. The key is to match the cam with the flow characteristics of the heads. then youll get your money/time's worth of swapping cams
