Default TR230 with 5.3s and a 200shot?

I have a tr230 to go in my forged 347 and I'm looking for a set of heads that will give me a bit of a boost na. I've had the prc stage 2.5 5.3l heads before and I liked them very much but it was with a traditional split cam. Would these heads be okay for the tr230 since it's reverse split? What about nitrous as well? I want to try and hit 600whp on spray. Will this cam let me do it or is something more traditional needed?

Ben

The Tr230 and ported 5.3s work very well. I had the TR230 with the PRC 5.3s

For what your looking for those heads will work just fine, but again, it is hard to beat a properly set of ported 243's. Either way you cant go wrong. Good luck.

Sorry to thread jack, but I am also looking at this cam but can't seem to find any sound clips of it. Anyone got one?

You probably already know this but nitrous works better on a traditional split......

I had a tr230 with stock heads and a 150 shot, it ran 10.80's pretty easily.

There is a clip in the drag section.

dang i was about to have the same set up posted by the op but i think i might go with a torquer 2 cam instead now......which cam would be better for the 200 shot

power adders by nature are forcing more air into the motor. in turn, they usually favor a longer exhaust duration to help the motor release as much air as it's taking in. i realize nitrous is a bit different, but i still think a longer exhaust duration is preferable
