Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30 or 10w-30?
OK I have decided to use the Platinum oil for my TA would like recommendations on which one. This is a heads/cam '00 TA with 82k miles on the clock. Driving habits will be for a weekend cruising car, spring -fall in temps anywhere from 45-95 degrees. In the winter she will be garaged and I will start her up every few weeks when the weather breaks to drive it around for 30-45 mins and then right back in the garage. What would be better for my needs the 5w or the 10w?
Thanks in advance!

5w 30 if its going to be in the garage it wont really matter.
W just stands for winter so there is not really that much of a diff so its just up to you.
But i would try to a least start it up every week just to keep all the vac lines and all the hoses from falling apart to fast. Plus it will keep you battery charged up.
And watch your fuel it starts going bad pretty easy so every couple of months put new fuel in.
prob just alot of stuff you already know but its just some of my advice.

Here's the deal guys, she is up and running right now for the spring summer and fall months so my main concern is which oil is best for those driving conditions and months. She will see temps mostly in the 45-90 range, in summer mainly 60-80 with T-Tops off for weekend cruising. Which is better in those conditions 10 or 5?

10 for summer and 5 for winter was rule that I went by when I lived in Indiana. If you only use the car during the summer use 10w30. Make sure you change the oil when you get the car out.

That's what I do. Less viscosity improving additives in the 10w-30 can make for a slightly more stable oil over time.
