Default C5R heads VS LS6 heads

Just curious how much better C5R heads are compared to a set of LS6.

Can they be used with the LS6 intake?

As far as I know the LS6 intake will not work with them, you need a custom sheetmetal job.

They are quite a bit better than LS6 heads. The best ported LS6 heads I have seen were in the 330 CFM range. I read that the C5R heads ARE was using on their 8 second monster flowed in the 370CFM range.

Yes, C5R heads are definately better, however I'm not sure if it is worth all the trouble unless the car is an all-out race car. Don't you have to have custom headers made as well? And if anyone would slap a LS6 intake on C5R heads, they should be slapped, even if it did fit.

But, if you can get them complete for a killer price, say with titanium valves and all, I'd go for it.

For a street car, LS6 heads are PLENTY.

Hmmm I didn't know about the intake and header issues. It doesn't look like it's good for my setup afterall. Damn I was all pumped up to get these too.

Brad ... quit changing stuff and get the car running properly before you start changing it around.

A fully prepped set of C-5R heads with custom intake is about $10,000.I was going to get them for my track car but passed due to the high cost. They're bad *** but have an equally bad-*** price. They are best left to someone that wants to set a LS1 record and does'nt care about cost.

C5R heads rule, if you've got more money then you know what to do with. For the rest of us out there LS6 heads fill that slot rather nicely

Headers are not an issue with C5R heads but it is true that an LS6 intake will not work with them.

C5R heads are WAAAAAAAY overkill for a street engine. Tinsy tiny combustion chambers spell HIGH compression ratios. They can flow ~400 CFM when ported properly.
