Default Anybody have the LPE GT2-3 cam?

Did some searching but didn't find anything on it really other than specs.

I was set on the 02+ LS6 cam, but cam across the GT2-3. It is only slightly bigger, but now i'm wondering if i should do with it.

LPE GT2-3 cam. 207/220 .571/.578 118.5 LSA
02+ LS6 cam. 204/218 .551/.547 117.5 LSA

To those who have it, how do you like it? How is idle quality, driveability? Any dyno #'s with it? Any input appreciated.

The LPE GT2-3 cam is one of the best choices for a supercharged application!

I ran this cam in my 383 for a year, good smooth power. I only changed it out for a larger cam when I decided to go N/A.

I made the choice of a GT2-3 over a stock 02+ LS6 cam. No regrets (and I am N/A - no turbo or supercharger).

With bone stock LS6 heads, "shortie" headers (yeah, the ones most folks think are useless), I make 380RWHP, pulls hard up top, and no one would ever know I had a cam installed.

Just do it.

Even though the lpe cam is similar to stock I bet it has faster ramp rates which will keep it closer to max lift longer. Just my .02

i ran it for a summer and it was nice when the rest of my motor was pretty much stock and i didnt have longtubes. It has decent top end and it drives like stock.Mine would idle smooth at 450rpm when i was playing with hp tuners.

I'm running this cam now with a set of stg 1 Patriot 243's-idles like stock-no one will know you have a cam in there unless you tell them. Driveability is awesome-one of the main reasons i chose the cam as i DD the car an traffic can get pretty heavy in the area. What it lacks in low end torque it makes up for in midrange an topend power. I put down 393/372 thru a M6 with 3:42 gears. Thats with full bolts ons minus a pulley.

Any track times with that cam and no headers? I was looking at that cam, I have heard good things about it!
