Question hotcam on a factory stall?

Do you guys think I might get by by installing a hotcam and running with the factory stall convertor until I can afford a new bigger stall.

As a former auto owner I would reccomend stall first, for two reasons. One you will get better track gains and drivability with the stall even with stock cam and two the stock stall with make the cam aggrevating at times.

I did the cam first and wished I went the other way after all said and done. Gained .7 seconds and 7 mph with hot cam kit and headers, .8 seconds and 2mph with the Vig 3000. Not that it makes a big diff but this was on an LT1.

The hot cam will run 1800 in sixth on a m6 car so your stock stall will be fine. That cam makes good power and torque right off idle. It is not right for a 4400 stall though. Either change the cam or the stall IMO.

Gotcha. The only other thing I can say about the hot cam is that I have heard it is hard to tune. I only ran it in a carbed application so I dont know.
