Default ws6 cam swap

i was told by a few ppl on here that with my cam that i installed that 7.425s rod would be ok and quiter but when i started it up today for the first time after letting the rvt seal for 24hrs it sounded like a loud sowing machine so i duno if the push rod length is incorrect are what?
Anyone help me?

What cam? What was the base circle? Did you measure/check it?

How did you install the rockers? Did you trq them on base circle following TDC firing sequence?
Did you install the PACs at 1.800 height?

i was told by my local tuning shop and motor builder that 7.4s for a stock motor are just fine he said cuz there is a loud tappin noise coming from valve covers

What springs too. Mine quieted up considerably after a few K miles.

6.800+11x.050=7.350 is what i got when i checked it with the pushrod length checker!!!
