Question A few Cam Choices

What do ya'll think of the G5X2? Good cam? What's the best ET and dyno #'s anyone has seen from it. I just drew a blank and forgot who makes it so I can't look up the specs. Any driveability problems with a full tune?

What about the C2? I'm pretty familiar with this cam, but any dyno and ET #'s. A lot of friends have this cam and most love it.

And last but not least, the F4 cam frome FMS? Driveability issues with full tune? What about ET ands dyno #'s from this one?

I'm trying to decide between these 3 cams and am leaning more towards the F4 because of the 10.98 stock headed car they have. Are these all good N/A cams? I am going to put this in a full weight car, so all the numbers need to be from a full weight car with no nitrous. Maybe a little weight reduction, but not much. Any other cam suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks
Ryan

I am almost positive thet 10.98 F4 car has weight reduction. Any Stock head NA car running in the 10's more than likely has a good amount of weight pulled out. BTW, I believe on of the LG G5X2 cams (Maybe their G5X3) has run 10's NA stock heads as well.

10's NA/stock heads is not an easy task.

out of those your best bet is the x2 or better yet x3.

specs on the x2 are 232/240 .595/.609 112lsa. with bolt ons and cam i've see over 400rwhp from this cam on stock heads.

What about the piston to valve clearance on the X2 and F4? The specs on these two cams seem way too big for stock heads.

I have heard time in and time again that no flycutting is needed with the GX2 cam with stock heads but of course your installer or yourself much double check this issue about install as the old saying applies "Beter safe than sorry."

The F4 Cam is no where needing flycutting LOL!

226/226 575/575 on 114. This cam works great with comp 26918's.

In regards to raceweight, I ran the 10.98 at 3300 raceweight. Yeah I have weight reduction, but nothing too serious. I drive the car everyday, by which I mean to say the drivability of this cam is great.

The other cams you have listed are good cams, quite a bit bigger than the F4 though.
It just comes down to what vendor and grinder you want to go with. The F4 Cam is a great streetable cam that is easy on valve springs. I've had the same comp 26918's for almost 2 years now.
Also, if you think you want something more aggressive, Futral has a bevy of cams available.

I have the FM7 224/230 .587 .593 114 cam and it did make great power giving there is no Pulleys, or Ported TB. It made more power from 2500RPM to 6400RPM. The car is my daily driver and after the tunning the car runs like stock. I mean its very hard to tell im running a cam in it. I would recommened this cam big time. U can check the dyno sheets in this thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/114037-got-my-car-tuned-last.html

Good luck with ur choice.

I am also considering these cams as my journey on mods start. I am thinking that the g5x2 is a pretty big cam to put into a stock headed car, that is why I was thinking of putting in the c2 from MTI. I heard good things and someone claimed he made 400rwhp from an auto with it with minor bolt ons.

I have the C2, bought it cause I read so many good things about it. It made 380 RWHP in my A4 with an LS1 Intake, Stock TB/Pulley, and Flowmaster catback.
