Wow that's a hard question to answer. The best heads cost the most money. You pay more, you get more. Also, the type of heads and cam you get is influenced by what your future plans/mods are for the car. Just guessing, I'd say get a TR224 114 cam and some Absolute Speed stage 2 LS1 heads.

wow, could you load this question anymore.

since its just a weekend toy i'd go with a 230+ cam, tsp 231, g5x2, ect. then get some absolute stage 2 ls6 heads.

what is your budget btw?

Wait for the AFR heads. THey should be out soon and are expected to outperform all the available heads out today.

What type of emissions test, if any, does this car have to pass? That's another factor in the cam selection.

Check my sig, you can't do any better than that for a low budget package. I installed it all in my garage, the heads and cam work real well together. It will allow almost anyone to do a "home built" 450rwhp car.

The best of anything won't make power if you don't have the support cast of other matched componets to make the engine combination. My suggestion is to get with one shop and have them do a package. This way it is fair to the consumer and the supplier. When you go getting this here and this there you can end up with a broken budget and dissapointment in power.
