Default lifter tick???

well a few months back i was flooring my car and the gas got stuck. so when i pushed the clutch in it shot up and banged off the limiter at 6700 for about 4 seconds before i shut the car off. now i get a loud ticking on a cold start i thought it might have been my stock pushrods but no checked them all and they were fine. after the car fully warms up you can barley hear it. is there anything i can do to help this like diffrent oil or something. also is it bad to keep driving the car it drives perfect, could it be anything besides a lifter no right ive checked all my plugs too

Do a compression check, you may have bent some valves.

Check your spark plugs. If one is not tightened all the way, it will make a ticking noise also.

Check it when its cold, that what exhaust gaskets usually do when theres a tiny hole. Noisy when cold, queit when hot.

Take a peak and see, but it still could be valvetrain related though.

If you know someone with one of those non-contact laser temperature probes, you can use that to locate the leak.
