Crank weights 6.0 vs LS1

Crank weights 6.0 vs LS1 It's my understanding that the 6.0L cranks are solid while the LS1 cranks are hollow. Has anyone weighed them to find the weight difference? I'm wondering how much the extra rotating mass will effect hp? We have the cranks, but haven't broken the engines down yet.. We will weigh them soon.. Just wondering if someone has already done it.. Thanks

By hollow do you mean that there is no hole in the 6.0L crank for oil passages? I mean I find it quite odd, even though I have never seen a 6.0L or an LS1 crank personally, that a crank can be totally solid. Maybe I am wrong and you meant something different when you said solid.

I think what he means is that the LS1 cranks are gun-drilled through the main journals (approx 3/4" hole), and the truck cranks aren't, and what weight difference this may be, and is it worth any HP.....

In theory, the 6.0 would be stronger as it is completely solid as opposed to having hollow journals.
... they're in the charger, so I WILL have a pic for ya'll hopefully mid-day tommorrow...

So they have the same stroke, journals etc., they are just made a little different like more material here and there. So they are interchangable with any ls1 type motor, Right
