Default Would a 228r work well with this combo?

Im geting a 383 with stock 243 heads (for now) ls6 intake full bolt ons in an a4 with 3000 stall (for now as well) The reason i want this cam is because im looking for good drivebilty and street manners as the car is my daily driver. Ive heard alot of good things about this cam. My goals for the car would be to make atleast 400rwhp and run mid to low 11s while still driving near stock like. If anyone thinks there is a better cam out there motor suited to the extra cubes please let me know. Thanks

Oh and i dont want a very choppy idle

IMO a 383 is a waste, especially for no more that what you're after. That cam in a 346 with 243 heads and a good stall should put you well in the 11s. Depending on your race weight and DA maybe even low 11s or better.

I believe something in the mid 230's would drive good in a 383. Just about any decent cam in a 383 should kill your 400rwhp goal though since people do that cam only on all stock 346's. And I believe that the LSA has alot to do with choppiness. So the tighter the LSA the choppier the idle.

Talk to Pred Z or Pat G and they can hook you up with a custom cam.

I have a 228r on a 112 LSA and there isn't much chop, there just isn't much overlap.

I had the 228R 114lsa in my Vette for a while and it made 405rwhp, great driver, I have a six speed though. Wanted more, so I went with cam in Sig, huge improvement in torque and sound, and it drives the same. I wouldn't go with anything smaller than mid to upper 230s and 112lsa
